Use the following water conservation tips to reduce your use and your water bill:

  • Driveways, Sidewalks, and Walkways – Instead of a hose, use a broom or leaf blower to remove dead leaves and debris.
  • The toilets – if not a low-flow model, then install a displacement device such as a plastic bottle withwater and pebbles. Don’t obstruct float.
  • Bathroom sink – don’t let water run while you brush your teeth or shave. Turn the faucet on briefly to rinse.

Easements: Please clean your easements so that MDWID and your other utility companies have better access to the equipment that services your property. Under Arizona law it is the property owners responsibility to maintain the easements. Please remove trash and cut or trim the trees and brush

District continues to pursue USDA-RD Grant

The District continues to pursue a grant from the United States Department of Agriculture – Rural Development to address some of our immediate concerns with the aging infrastructure within the District continues to be on hold. We have identified $2,300,000 of projects that will enhance the distribution system and give the District a more reliable system for the future.

The grant application is in the process of being submitted to Washington for funding following the mid November final approval of the Archaeological Monitoring and Discovery Plan by the State Historical Preservation Office and the local Indian tribes.

Newsletter publishing schedule:

The newsletter will continue to be published on a periodic basis when we feel that it is necessary to contact all of our customers about current news in the District. We will also use the newsletter to seek input from all customers about various issues within the District.
